About this painting

A river of steel blue and chestnut brown winds from the top edge of the canvas to the bottom, built from stacked layers that sit one above another like cut card, each edge throwing a thin shadow onto the layer below. On the left the blue breaks into rounded lobes grooved with tight parallel lines that curl like a fingerprint.

The brown runs as a core through the middle, darkening to maroon in the deepest folds, while smooth blue ribbons on the right swing outward and narrow to a tip just above the lower edge. Wide cream panels on both sides keep the band crisp.

TA#714 is an original textured geometric painting showing sculpted layered wavy bands in blue, brown and cream with contour lines, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its two colours bridge cool and warm materials: the blue answers grey stone, concrete or navy upholstery, and the chestnut answers walnut, leather or a cognac sofa. In a boardroom, use the end wall facing the door so the band's long vertical run is the first thing seen on entering. In a corridor, a narrow stretch of wall between two doors suits the tall shape. One spot light directly above sharpens the shadow under each layer.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, corridor & circulation, home office and living room; it reads as calming and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#714 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#714 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does TA#714 read as more blue or more brown on the wall?

Blue. The steel blue covers more of the band than the brown and sits on the outer layers, so from across a room it reads cool with a warm core. Closer in, the chestnut and the maroon shadows in the folds come forward and warm it.

Why are the blue lobes on the left of TA#714 grooved while the right side is smooth?

The two surfaces do different jobs. The grooved lobes catch light in fine lines, like ripples, and the smooth ribbons on the right show off the stacking of the layers instead. The band gets a rough side and a sleek side, so it changes as you walk past.

Is TA#714 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#714 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#714 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
