About this painting

Torn-edged slabs of plaster overlap like pieces of a paper collage: slate blue down the left, a rust-orange curl lapping over its edge, a dark teal diamond near the top right and white and pale grey sheets in the middle. A broad chocolate-brown form rises from the bottom edge and climbs the right side, giving the arrangement a solid base.

Each piece is troweled thick enough to leave a raised rim where it overlaps its neighbour, and the edges stay ragged. A blush-cream ground shows between them, warming the blue and teal. The colour is muted, nearer dyed wool or fired clay than bright paint.

TA#216 is an original textured geometric painting showing raised plaster shapes in blue, terracotta, white, teal and brown, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Muted earth colours with one cool blue suit restaurants finished in clay, terrazzo or timber; hang it where the back bar or a long banquette needs a large, quiet panel. In a guest room, place it where it is seen from the pillows: the irregular shapes give the eye something to wander over without loud colour. Warm, low light favours the rust and brown; under cool white LEDs the slate blue takes over.

Specified for guest room & suite, restaurant & bar, living room and entryway & hallway; it reads as calming and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#216 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#216 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why do the shapes in TA#216 have ragged edges?

The torn look comes from the way the plaster is laid: each slab is pulled across the canvas with a trowel and its edge is left as it breaks, not trimmed. That gives the piece the feel of handmade paper, and the uneven rims throw small shadows that change with the light.

Which accent colours from TA#216 can be carried into the room?

The rust shape is the obvious choice for cushions or a single armchair, the slate blue suits a rug or velvet upholstery, and the dark teal diamond works for small accents such as glassware or a vase. The blush-cream ground matches warm limewash or plaster walls.

Is TA#216 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#216 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#216 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
