About this painting

A slender tree spreads a broad crown of blue and gold-toned leaves, and at its foot a mother elephant and her calf stand trunk to trunk, small enough to miss at first glance.

The leaves are the raised part of the picture: each a separate knifed almond of cobalt, cerulean or navy with a pale vein scratched through, mixed with crinkled gold-toned leaves that catch light with a soft sheen. Behind the dark, gold-flecked trunk, vertical drags of grey-blue, beige and ochre warm to an amber glow near the ground, and a band of slate-blue strokes forms the earth.

CA#1026 is an original colorful landscape painting showing tree with blue and gold leaves and two elephants beneath on a beige and blue knife ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Blue and amber partner naturally with walnut, brushed brass and warm-grey stone, and the gold-toned leaves pick up any brass lamp or handle nearby. Because the elephants are tiny and sit low on the right, hang the canvas low enough for them to be seen, its lower edge only a little higher than a hall console or a bench seat. In a guest suite, hang it across from the bed, so mother and calf are what a guest sees on waking.

Specified for corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway, guest room & suite and living room; it reads as calming and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#1026 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#1026 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the two elephants in CA#1026 mean?

A mother and calf are often read as family, protection and good fortune, and elephants beneath a tree of plenty are a familiar motif for prosperity and a settled home. Set trunk to trunk at the base, they turn a decorative tree into a small story.

How do the gold-toned leaves of CA#1026 look in different light?

Under a warm downlight or picture light they brighten and show their crinkled surface, standing out from the smoother blue leaves. In cool, even daylight they settle into a quieter olive-gold. If the gold matters most, place the canvas where a lamp or spot falls across it from above.

Is CA#1026 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#1026 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#1026 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
