The sky does most of the work: deep ultramarine and navy at the top left, a faint violet cast in the upper right, and a broad glow of pale blue rising behind the pair as if moonlight were just below the horizon. Stars are single white dabs, brightest through the middle band. Along the bottom, sharp black grass blades stand against that glow, and the figures, just right of centre, are small enough that the empty sky feels vast.
