Green headlands, white surf and red roses seascape canvas art

Green hills drawn as simple triangles step down to the sea in a chain of headlands, and a thick white line of surf follows them from the horizon to the bottom left corner. The surf is the one heavily built element, laid on in ridges and broken into zigzags; everything else is painted flat in a deliberately naive hand.

Open blue water fills the right side, cobalt in front and paler towards a yellow sun with three gulls crossing it. A soft pink band tops the sky. Red roses on short stems line the lower edge and cluster on the nearest slope, the strongest colour in the picture.
