Woman in a green jacket with hunting hounds wall art

Pearl drops at her ears and eyes slid sideways, a dark-haired woman in a sage green jacket holds the left edge of the canvas. Behind her a man in a red-orange suit stands, back turned, on a tan field among black-and-white pointer hounds, and the nearest hound, in a thin red collar, noses toward the small white flower pinned to her lapel.

The handling is flat and graphic, like mid-century magazine illustration: fine dark outlines, colour in a few broad zones. A band of peach sky runs across the top, and the open field between the two figures gives the scene its quiet tension.

CA#231 is an original colorful figurative painting showing woman in a green jacket with hunting dogs and a man in red under a peach sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

The wide format and the strong upright of the woman at the left suit a long, low run of wall: behind a bistro banquette, over the bed in a guest suite, or above a hallway bench. Since she is cropped by the left edge, hang it so that side faces the nearer corner and the hounds lead into the open room. Sage, rust and peach sit well with olive velvet, cognac leather and smoked glass.

Specified for restaurant & bar, dining room, living room and guest room & suite; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.
