About this painting

A striped, vessel-like sculpture in navy and cream bands stands on a peach floor against a burnt terracotta wall. Its left half bends into a loop that frames a window of orange, its right half rises into a hollow spout, and two arched openings near the base let the ground show through like the legs of a stool. Short black shadows fall from each foot onto the peach band, the only hint of light in an otherwise shadowless picture.

The paint is laid in smooth, even fields with soft hand-cut edges. The stripes vary slightly in width, so the figure feels drawn rather than ruled.

MA#691 is an original minimalist geometric painting showing flat navy, cream and terracotta striped arch shapes on orange, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Hang it where people approach it head-on: the end wall of a restaurant passage, or the narrow pier between two dining-room doorways, where its upright figure echoes someone standing in the doorway. Burnt orange sits easily with cognac leather, walnut and aged brass, while the navy stripes give blue velvet or denim upholstery something to answer. In the bigger sizes the canvas can stand on a floor or low ledge too, since the peach band already reads as ground.

Specified for restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation, dining room and living room; it reads as bold and cozy & warm.

Colour palette

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#691 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#691 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What object is the striped shape in MA#691 meant to be?

Deliberately, no single thing. The form reads partly as two joined vases or bottles and partly as an abstract sculpture, and the arched gaps near its base suggest legs. Most people settle on a vessel, but the picture holds up equally as pure shape and stripe.

Which wall colours suit the burnt orange ground of MA#691?

Warm white, oatmeal and pale clay let the terracotta read as one solid block. A charcoal or deep navy wall also works, repeating the dark stripes so the orange glows by contrast. Avoid a strong red or orange wall, which swallows the canvas edge.

Is MA#691 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#691 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#691 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
