About this painting

Dozens of cream lines nest inside one another to build a tall dome rising from the bottom edge of a deep terracotta field, like the rings of a cut tree or the whorl of a thumbprint. The innermost arch is a narrow hairpin near the base; each line outside it widens a little, wobbling where the hand slowed, until the outer ring almost touches both sides of the canvas.

The top two-fifths are left as bare, softly mottled clay red. Every line is a raised ridge of cream and pale gold paint, so a light from one side catches the arch in fine highlights.

MA#722 is an original minimalist geometric painting showing concentric cream arch lines on a terracotta field, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Because the dome sits low and the upper canvas is empty, it looks best hung with its base close to the furniture below: above a low credenza in a dining room, over a bench in a hotel corridor, or behind a banquette so the arch seems to rise out of the seat back. Rust, sand and ochre in limewashed walls, travertine or boucle pick up the ground, and a wall-washer grazing from above makes the ridges stand out.

Specified for guest room & suite, restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation and dining room; it reads as cozy & warm and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#722 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#722 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the nested arch in MA#722 represent?

Nothing fixed. The lines sit close to tree rings, a fingerprint and the contour lines of a hill on a map, so it suits interiors with an earthy, natural theme. The real subject is rhythm: one shape repeated outward with small hand-drawn irregularities.

How do the raised lines of MA#722 look in a dimly lit restaurant?

Better than in daylight. Under low, warm downlights the cream ridges glow against the terracotta and each one throws a thin shadow, so the dome looks almost carved. In flat light from the front the ridges settle back and the arch reads more as a drawing.

Is MA#722 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#722 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#722 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
