About this painting

The Chrysler Building's tiered spire rises at the end of a narrow street, drawn with surprising precision while everything around it breaks into blocky slabs of paint. Facades on both sides are cut in square knife strokes of grey, peach, cream and black, and yellow taxis bunch up at lower left on a pale, rain-sheened road.

The two sides of the street are unequal: the left is pale and lit, with mint and blue awnings, while the right drops into black, navy and brick red with sudden patches of mustard. Between them a slot of white sky frames the tower.

IA#1024 is an original impressionist cityscape painting showing New York street with the Chrysler Building, taxis and knife-stroke facades, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The street's vanishing point pulls the gaze inward, so it suits walls seen straight on from down a passage or facing an entrance door. Concrete floors, light grey stone and white walls let the peach and brick-red slabs carry the colour. Framed in slim gold, it echoes the taxis and feels warmer in a residential hallway; black keeps it graphic for an office reception. Give it clear wall either side, since neighbouring art turns the blocky facades to noise.

Specified for lobby & reception, corridor & circulation, workspace & office and entryway & hallway; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1024 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1024 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is the Chrysler Building painted in more detail than the rest of IA#1024?

It anchors the view. The spire's tiers and triangular windows are drawn with fine lines so the building is recognisable at a glance, while the surrounding street is left loose and blocky. That contrast between one sharp landmark and an impression of traffic and shopfronts gives the painting its depth.

Is the dark right side of IA#1024 too heavy for a bright lobby?

It balances out. The right-hand facades are the darkest part, in black and navy, but they are broken by red, pink and mustard patches, and the left side and sky are nearly white. Against pale stone, that dark side gives the canvas the weight it needs to hold a large wall.

Is IA#1024 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1024 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1024 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
