About this painting

Fresh snow covers the deck of Charles Bridge, and at its far end a dark-roofed Gothic tower stands over an arch where a few small figures pass into the old streets beyond. A black iron lamppost on the left and the stone parapet on the right lead straight into that arch.

Behind the tall tower rise a smaller tower with a snow-white roof and the green dome of a baroque church. The sky and the trodden snow are laid in thick, broken knife strokes of white and pale gray, while the buildings stay warm, in ochre, rust and cream, with snow caught along every ledge.

IA#398 is an original impressionist cityscape painting showing snow-covered Charles Bridge tower and old town street in Prague, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The bridge runs into the picture, so hang it at the end of an approach, facing an entrance door or on the far wall of a dining room, where its perspective continues the walk. Warm ochres pick up brick, terracotta and walnut, while the white keeps it light enough for a cream hallway. In a wine bar or bistro with a central European menu it sets the scene on its own; a warm, low light suits its winter-evening mood.

Specified for restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as peaceful and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#398 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#398 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which end of Charles Bridge does IA#398 show?

The Lesser Town end, seen from the bridge deck. The tall tower with the steep dark roof is the Lesser Town Bridge Tower, the lower one beside it is the Judith Tower, and the green dome of St Nicholas Church rises behind them.

How does the snow in IA#398 look up close?

Rough and sculpted. The white is pressed on in short knife strokes that overlap like broken ice, especially along the bridge deck and across the sky. Close to, it is almost abstract; from a few steps back it resolves into packed snow and a heavy winter sky.

Is IA#398 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#398 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#398 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
