About this painting

Thick white cloud banks fill the upper half of the canvas, lit from behind so their crowns glow pale gold while the undersides sink into pewter grey. Beneath them a thin peach band marks the horizon, and a flat, quiet sea carries the light forward in silver streaks.

The water is painted in long horizontal pulls of grey, white and soft blue-green, each catching a highlight along its ridge, and the shallows at the bottom warm into beige. There is no boat, rock or figure anywhere, so the picture rests entirely on the meeting of dense cloud and level sea.

IA#867 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing soft grey-beige seascape with sunlit clouds over calm water, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Greys, warm whites and a hint of gold sit comfortably with greige walls, boucle, travertine and brushed brass, the soft palette common in hotel suites and show apartments. Over a sofa or headboard, line its centre up with the furniture, not the wall, and let it span about two-thirds of the furniture's width. The level horizon also steadies a boardroom wall, giving people a calm place to rest their eyes between screens.

Specified for guest room & suite, meeting & boardroom, living room and bedroom; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#867 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#867 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does IA#867 show morning or evening light?

Nothing in the scene fixes the hour. The light is low and pale gold and apricot rather than red, coming from behind the clouds just above the horizon, so it can be read as either end of the day. The cool grey water tilts it toward a quiet morning.

Will the gold in IA#867 work with a chrome or nickel scheme?

Yes, because the gold is only a thin glow behind the clouds and along the horizon. Most of the canvas is silver-grey water and white cloud, which suits chrome, nickel and glass. Where brass fittings dominate, that same thin glow becomes the link instead.

Is IA#867 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#867 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#867 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
