About this painting

One peony is solid and one is almost a ghost: the front bloom in thick, creamy white with a lemon-yellow heart, the one behind it washed thin in grey with dark hairline edges to its scalloped petals.

Both sit in the upper half of a slate-grey canvas. Below them, thin black stems and two small gold leaves drop toward the bottom through a spray of white speckles that drifts across the ground like snow. Torn-looking patches of gold catch the top right corner and the lower right edge, framing the flowers on a diagonal.

HA#818 is an original hyperrealist floral painting showing two white peonies with yellow centres on a grey ground with gold leaf and white speckles, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A vertical canvas looks thin over a wide bed, so in a guest room put it across from the bed, in view from the pillows. In a boardroom it suits the long side wall opposite the windows, so daylight crosses the thick white petals and picks out their ridges. Boucle, pale oak and light concrete sit comfortably with the slate ground; a pure white wall flattens the snow-like speckling.

Specified for guest room & suite, meeting & boardroom, bedroom and living room; it reads as peaceful and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#818 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#818 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is one of the two peonies in HA#818 so faint?

The back bloom is painted in thin, washed grey with dark outlines, while the front one is built up in opaque white. The contrast puts one flower in front of the other without any cast shadow, and gives the pair depth on an otherwise flat grey field.

How does the white speckling in HA#818 look up close?

At arm's length it is a spray of fine white dots and small splashes, densest near the stems and around the lower bloom and thinning toward the edges. From across a room it merges into a soft drift, like snow falling past the flowers.

Is HA#818 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#818 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#818 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
