About this painting

An oversized peony in grey and white fills the top two-thirds of the canvas, close enough that its outer petals nearly touch both sides.

The petals are laid on thickly and smoothed into broad planes, white where they face the light and blue-grey in the folds, with a thin trace of gold along a few rims. A pale stem with a bright silvery edge curves down the left into a mass of dark leaves, each rimmed in silver-grey. A small bud tucks into the top left corner. The mottled grey ground is marbled with lighter patches at the upper right and lower corners.

HA#873 is an original hyperrealist floral painting showing large grey-white peony with silver-leaf leaves on a grey ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Monochrome and heavy with texture, it suits rooms finished in matte, tactile materials: limewash, travertine, raw linen, pale ash. In a spa it can face the loungers of a quiet room, where people rest their eyes on one wall for a long time. Light it from one side with a wall grazer to bring up the thick petals, since flat front lighting loses them. Boardrooms can use it behind the chairperson's seat, where the whole table already looks.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, meeting & boardroom and bedroom; it reads as peaceful and romantic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#873 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#873 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How does the impasto on the HA#873 peony look in side light?

The petals are the thickest part, laid on in smooth slabs with sharp edges, so raking light casts small shadows along each rim and the flower stands forward from the flatter grey ground. In even, frontal light those shadows disappear and the painting reads softer and more tonal.

What does the small bud in the corner of HA#873 add?

Balance. The open peony leans right and downward, so the closed bud in the top left corner fills the one gap the bloom leaves and gives the eye a second, smaller point to move to before returning to the main flower.

Is HA#873 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#873 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#873 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
