About this painting

A single pale pink peony, cropped by the left edge, fills nearly the whole canvas, its petals rimmed in gold as if each one had been traced.

Painted this close, the bloom sends you straight into its heart, a cluster of gold stamens dotted with pink. The gold thickens into broken patches on the lowest petals at the left and thins to hairlines toward the right. The pink is soft and powdery, darker at the base of each petal and almost white at the rims, set against a grey and white ground that drifts like cloud.

HA#820 is an original hyperrealist floral painting showing single large pink peony with gold-edged petals on a soft grey ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Cropped this tight, the peony looks best where people stand near it: the end of a narrow passage leading to private dining rooms, the dressing area of a suite, or the wall between two wardrobes. It takes blush velvet, pale grey marble and light oak easily. Keep strong reds and oranges away, since they make the powder pink look washed out, and do not crowd it into a gallery grouping, as it needs bare wall around it.

Specified for guest room & suite, restaurant & bar, bedroom and living room; it reads as romantic and uplifting.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#820 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#820 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why does the peony in HA#820 run off the left edge?

Cropping the bloom makes it feel close, as though the canvas were a window onto one flower rather than a picture of it. It also leaves a wider band of grey ground on the right, so the open side of the peony has room to spread.

Is the pink in HA#820 closer to blush or to rose?

Blush. Most petals are a powdery shell pink, deepening to a warmer salmon-rose only at their bases and in the folds around the centre. Next to white linen it reads soft and pale; next to grey upholstery it warms a little.

Is HA#820 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#820 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#820 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
