About this painting

A brass urn on a dark stone ledge holds a tall, loose bouquet in the manner of the seventeenth-century Dutch flower painters: a striped cream tulip at the top, pale white blossoms below it, coral and blush roses massed at the lower left and blue delphinium leaning out on the left.

On the right, a deep crimson rose and a mauve cabbage rose sit half in shadow. The ground fades from smoky grey at upper right to black, and a drooping yellow bloom hangs over the ledge, where faint reflections and a few fallen white petals suggest polished stone. Petals are smoothly blended, crisp-edged against the dark.

HA#052 is an original hyperrealist floral painting showing classical Dutch-style bouquet of roses, tulip, peony and blue delphinium in an urn on a dark background, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Dark-ground still lifes need light on them: a ceiling spot or wall-mounted lamp aimed at the bouquet keeps the black from looking like a void. It belongs in a dining room with dark timber, velvet seating and brass fittings, or above a restaurant banquette where the coral roses pick up candlelight. In a gallery or shop it holds a wall of classical and traditional pieces together.

Specified for restaurant & bar, dining room, gallery & retail and living room; it reads as romantic and moody.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#052 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#052 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why are the flowers in HA#052 painted against black?

It follows the Dutch and Flemish flower pieces of the 1600s, where a near-black ground made petals look lit from within. The darkness also hides any sense of a room behind, so the bouquet seems to come forward, and the crimson and blue read richer than they would on a pale background.

Would the flowers in HA#052 really bloom at the same time?

Not in a real garden. Tulips are a spring flower, while roses and delphinium peak in summer. Dutch still-life painters routinely combined blooms that never shared a vase, working from separate studies, and this bouquet keeps that tradition of an idealised arrangement.

Is HA#052 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#052 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#052 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
