About this painting

Ears pricked and mane flying back in streaks of slate blue, teal and white, a white horse looks off to the right, one dark eye set high in the frame.

The face is built from long, broad strokes of white over grey, and colour breaks through wherever the planes turn: yellow on the cheek, red and orange around the nostril and jaw, cobalt down the throat. Toward the neck and lower left the form dissolves into loose splashes, drips and dashes of terracotta, olive and blue on an off-white ground, so the head seems to emerge out of the paint itself.

CA#1020 is an original colorful animal painting showing horse head portrait built from multicolour knife strokes and splashes on white, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With an off-white ground, the horse stands out sharply on charcoal, slate or navy walls, where the pale head and coloured splashes leap out; against white the whole image softens and reads more like a sketch. Its tall shape fits an entrance hall facing the door, a pier between two lobby windows, or a clubhouse or equestrian-themed lounge. Hang it so the eye lands at roughly standing eye level.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#1020 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#1020 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which way does the horse in CA#1020 face, and does that affect placement?

It faces right, with the muzzle at lower right. Designers usually hang a facing subject so it looks into the room rather than at a corner or out through a doorway, so this horse belongs on a left-hand wall or on the left of a pair.

Does the horse in CA#1020 carry any symbolism?

In many traditions a horse stands for strength, stamina and forward momentum, and in feng shui a horse is associated with success and progress, one reason horse paintings are popular in offices and entrance halls. The loose, splashed handling keeps the image energetic rather than formal.

Is CA#1020 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#1020 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#1020 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
