One white blossom is cropped tight, its petals spilling past all four edges, with a knot of gold, orange and green stamens dabbed thickly into the upper right.

The petals are not pure white. They carry peach blushes near the centre and pale blue shadows where they fold, and dark outlines separate them sharply from the ground. Around them the background breaks into short strokes of navy, teal, cobalt and lilac, almost like mosaic, while a smaller yellow flower glows at the lower left. The result is a flower seen at bee's distance, more pattern than portrait.
