About this painting

Rows of short, tilted strokes in sky blue, coral, butter yellow, white and pale grey cover the canvas from edge to edge, overlapping like feathers or the tiles of a roof.

Each stroke is streaked with fine parallel lines where the paint was dragged, and stands slightly proud of the canvas, so the surface has a ridged, combed feel that shows best at an angle. A few hair-thin dark lines and specks of red and navy flick across the pattern, adding some sharpness to an otherwise soft range of pastels. There is no centre, horizon or edge to work toward.

CA#305 is an original colorful abstract painting showing dense field of multicolour palette-knife dabs in pastel blue, coral, yellow and white, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With no top, centre or horizon, the canvas can go where a figurative work would feel awkward: a narrow wall between two doors, the wall above a desk in a shared workspace, or opposite a bed where it is seen lying down. The pastel range sits easily with white oak, pale blue linen and brushed brass, and cool office lighting flatters its blues and whites. Tall sizes work beside a staircase, where the pattern is read in passing on the way up.

Specified for guest room & suite, workspace & office, bedroom and living room; it reads as uplifting and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#305 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#305 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Can CA#305 be hung on its side?

It can. With no horizon or figure there is no fixed top, so turned through 90 degrees the strokes stand upright instead of lying across, a slightly livelier look. Say which way it will hang so the fixings are fitted to the right edge.

Do the colours in CA#305 follow a pattern?

Only loosely. Ochre, coral and yellow drift in uneven bands through the middle, while blue, grey and white run through everything as the binding colours. Nothing repeats in a regular rhythm, so the canvas reads more like a crowd or shifting weather than a printed textile.

Is CA#305 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#305 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#305 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
