About this painting

Ribbed black stripes drop like a pleated curtain along the canvas's right-hand edge, and near their foot the black shatters into white flecks before meeting a field of troweled white plaster.

The white half is never flat. Raised ledges step down its lower corner like stacked slabs, and a small square of scored lines sits near the top. One low horizontal sweep of black runs in from the left edge to the base of the stripes, so the dark areas form an L around the pale field. The relief is deepest along the ribs, where every ridge stands up from the black between them.

TA#416 is an original textured abstract painting showing thick white plaster field beside black vertical drip stripes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Hang it where people walk toward it rather than past it, closing the view down a corridor or facing a front door: the black ribs register first from across the space, and the plaster ledges reward the last few steps. It holds its own against polished concrete, white oak and brushed steel, and in a showroom its thin black frame ties in with black display fittings. Leave clear wall either side so the L of black is not crowded.

Specified for corridor & circulation, gallery & retail, workspace & office and entryway & hallway; it reads as bold and dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#416 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#416 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Can lighting favour the ribs or the plaster ledges on TA#416?

Yes, through its angle. A spot raking in from one side makes each vertical rib cast a thin shadow and deepens the black half, while a downlight grazing from above picks out the horizontal ledges in the white. A light set high and to one corner catches both.

What does the black sweep along the bottom of TA#416 do?

It grounds the picture. Without it the stripes would hang from the top edge with nothing beneath them; the low stroke enters from the left and meets their base, so the black wraps two sides of the white plaster and holds it in place.

Is TA#416 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#416 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#416 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
