About this painting

Thick white plaster pours down the canvas's left half and halts at a jagged, stepped edge against a field of rough black, as if surf had set solid mid-fold. The white is carved into flowing ridges that bend and fan like wind lines in sand, while the black is raked into tight parallel grooves running diagonally toward the lower left.

The border between them carries the drama: it bulges twice into the black, then narrows to a white strip at the bottom left corner. With no grey in between, the contrast is total, and the relief is deep enough for both colours to throw visible shadow.

TA#567 is an original textured abstract painting showing black and white sculpted plaster wave ridges, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With no mid-tones, the canvas wants bare wall on either side, not neighbouring pictures. Put it where a corridor ends, so it is met head-on while walking toward it, or on the main wall of a lobby over pale stone floors. In a spa it suits the dressing area, next to honed black slate, white marble and matte black fittings. A single grazing light from above deepens the black grooves and sharpens the white ridges.

Specified for spa & wellness, lobby & reception, corridor & circulation and bathroom; it reads as dramatic and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#567 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#567 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the black side of TA#567 as textured as the white?

Yes, though it shows differently. The black is raked into fine parallel grooves with a gritty, matte finish, so it reads as dark texture rather than flat colour. The white ridges are broader and higher, which is why they pick up more of the light.

Does TA#567 show a wave or a landscape?

Either reading works. The white form curls like surf breaking on dark sand, and the black grooves resemble a wet beach after the tide; seen another way, it is a snow ridge against a rock face. The work is abstract, so it does not insist on one.

Is TA#567 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#567 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#567 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
