About this painting

A single white sheep dozes curled among wild flowers, head tucked toward its shoulder and eyes closed, on a ground so dark it is nearly black. Its fleece is the heart of the canvas: hundreds of short, thick dabs of white and pale grey laid in rows, so the wool stands slightly proud of the smooth ground and catches light like knitted stitches.

Around it grow white daisy-like flowers with orange centres, mustard poppies clustered at lower left, grey-green leaves edged in pale lines and small blue forget-me-nots across the top. The sheep's face and ear are the smoothest, cleanest passages in the picture.

CA#234 is an original colorful animal painting showing white sheep resting among daisies and orange poppies on a dark ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A dark ground needs a light wall and good light: white or oatmeal plaster in an entrance hall opposite the front door, at the end of a guest-room corridor, or above a bedroom chest of drawers, lit by a ceiling spot aimed down across the canvas so the dabbed fleece shows. Mustard, charcoal and cream make easy partners in textiles: a bouclé chair, a wool throw, a black-stained timber frame.

Specified for corridor & circulation, guest room & suite, entryway & hallway and bedroom; it reads as cozy & warm and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#234 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#234 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the sheep in CA#234 meant to be asleep?

Its eyes are drawn as closed lines and its head rests against its body, so it reads as dozing among the flowers. That pose suits bedrooms and quiet corridors, where an animal staring straight out at passers-by would feel more insistent.

How does the fleece texture of CA#234 look up close?

Up close it is a field of separate short strokes, each a small ridge of white over pale grey, laid in loose rows. Further back they merge into soft wool. A wall light set to one side gives each dab its own small shadow and makes the sheep look rounder.

Is CA#234 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#234 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#234 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
