About this painting

Two zebras lean in until their dark muzzles touch at the bottom of the canvas, one striped in plain black and white, the other broken into red, yellow, pink and sky blue.

The heads fill the frame from the top edge, eyes lowered, and a narrow V of flat grey ground runs down between them. The black and white zebra carries only a few turquoise flashes, around the eye and along the cheek, a quiet echo of the colour that floods its partner. Every stripe is a thick, ridged knife stroke, so the monochrome side is just as textured as the bright one, while the grey ground behind stays smooth.

CA#054 is an original colorful animal painting showing two zebra heads facing each other, one striped black-white, one rainbow, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its grey ground sits easily on grey marble, polished concrete and charcoal walls, leaving all the colour to the right-hand zebra, so it can carry a boutique, a bar entrance or a lobby that is otherwise neutral. The story happens at the bottom edge, where the muzzles meet, so hang it lower than most canvases: over a slim console or bench, with that meeting point near standing eye height.

Specified for gallery & retail, lobby & reception, restaurant & bar and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#054 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#054 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does pairing a black-and-white zebra with a rainbow one suggest?

It is often read as a meeting of opposites, quiet and loud, plain and expressive, leaning toward each other rather than apart. Many people see a couple in it, and in a shop or bar it works as a light-hearted nod to difference that needs no explanation.

Where is the knife work heaviest on CA#054?

In the stripes. Each black, white or coloured band is a single loaded stroke that rises off the canvas, edged with a raised lip, and the colours on the right are laid as short, blocky dabs. The grey ground is kept flat, so in side light both heads seem to step forward from it.

Is CA#054 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#054 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#054 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
