About this painting

A grey-blue elephant walks straight toward the viewer through a meadow of sculpted flowers, its trunk hanging between two ivory tusks and its broad ears spread wide against a gold ground.

The flowers are the reason to look closely: pink, coral, butter yellow, violet and pale blue blooms built up so thickly that the petals stand off the canvas, densest along the bottom edge and up both sides. The elephant is a patchwork of short, heavy dabs in slate, navy and stone, with small flecks of colour scattered across its forehead. Gold shows only around the head, framing it like a glow.

CA#469 is an original colorful animal painting showing elephant standing among multicoloured impasto wildflowers on gold, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Because the elephant comes head-on, it works best where people approach it face to face: facing down an entrance hall, opposite a restaurant's front door, or behind a host stand. Give it generous bare wall on both sides so the flowers can spill outward. Green velvet, terracotta tile and dark-stained timber suit its gold, and a ceiling spot angled down from above gives the raised petals depth.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, entryway & hallway and dining room; it reads as uplifting and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#469 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#469 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How far do the flowers stand out from the surface of CA#469?

Far enough to cast their own small shadows. Individual petals are built up in thick layers that stand proud of the canvas, most of all across the bottom third, while the gold ground around the head is kept thinner. Lit from one side, each bloom gets a bright edge and a dark underside.

Does the gold ground in CA#469 look metallic?

No. It is a painted ochre-gold, not a metal finish, so it has a warm matt glow rather than a mirror shine. That keeps it calm beside aged bronze or honey-toned furniture, even under the strong spotlights of a restaurant dining room.

Is CA#469 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#469 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#469 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
