About this painting

A cream ridge of thick sculpted paint sweeps diagonally across a wide canvas, climbing from lower left to upper right between a charcoal field above and a warm ochre field below. Along the ridge the paint has been curled with a knife into small rosettes, a dozen or so raised spirals that look almost carved. Beneath it runs a deep rust-red seam and a thin white edge, like strata in a cliff, before the ochre opens into a smoother caramel plain.

The charcoal is worked in rough, scraped strokes with hints of blue-grey, and a small sliver of gold breaks through near the centre where dark meets cream.

TA#156 is an original textured landscape painting showing sculpted plaster ridge of cream, charcoal, rust and ochre, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The long diagonal suits a wall people walk along rather than face head-on: the length of a bar back, above a restaurant banquette, or beside a lift bank in a lobby. Hang it so the rosettes sit close to standing eye height. The rust seam picks up corten steel, terracotta tile, walnut and smoked oak; keep metal finishes to aged brass or bronze. A downlight placed close to the wall deepens every curl.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, dining room and living room; it reads as moody and dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#156 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#156 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the round swirls along the cream band in TA#156?

They are rosettes made by twisting a loaded palette knife into the wet paint, leaving small raised spirals. Clustered along the cream ridge, they resemble carved roses or coiled shells and give the lightest band on the canvas its own surface detail, separate from the scraped charcoal above.

Is TA#156 meant to be read as a landscape?

It can be read either way. The layered diagonal bands suggest a hillside, a coastline seen from above or exposed rock strata, yet nothing is drawn literally. Many viewers see land meeting shore; others take it as pure colour and texture, which lets it sit in a modern or rustic room.

Is TA#156 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#156 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#156 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
