About this painting

A burst of knife strokes flies outward from a point just above the centre, ring after ring of white, sky blue and navy, like a dandelion clock or a splash caught mid-air.

The bands alternate rather than simply darken: a white core, a pale blue ring, a deep navy ring, then white again before navy and cobalt return at the edges, with flecks of teal low on the left. Every stroke is pulled outward from the middle, so the ridges themselves point back to it, and wherever you look on the canvas the lines lead you to that pale core.

TA#429 is an original textured geometric painting showing radiating starburst of blue and white knife strokes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With the centre set above the middle, lower it a little from the usual height so the core lands near standing eye level; in a lobby or showroom the burst then meets people as they come in. Navy and white partner grey stone, bleached timber, ivory boucle and chrome, and suit brand schemes built on blue. Give it a plain wall, because patterned paper or slatted panelling competes with the radiating lines.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, workspace & office and living room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#429 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#429 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the starburst in TA#429 a picture of something?

It is abstract, with no fixed subject. People see different things in it, often an iris, a dandelion seed head or water splashing outward, and the alternating rings also recall indigo tie-dye. That open reading helps in public spaces, where no single image has to suit every visitor.

Will the navy rings of TA#429 look black in dim light?

In very low, warm light the deepest navy can drop toward black while the white bands stay bright, so the burst reads as black and white. Brighter or cooler light brings the blue back, along with the sky blue and teal flecks, so give it at least moderate light if the blue matters.

Is TA#429 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#429 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#429 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
