About this painting

Two large tropical blooms, one magenta and white at lower left and one violet and coral at upper right, open against a slate-navy ground so dark it reads almost black.

Between them a spray of leaves fans out in teal, mint, olive and one bright mustard-yellow blade, while small pink, orange and white buds scatter toward the top left. Each petal is laid with the knife in one or two smooth, curved strokes, the colour blending inside the stroke from deep pink to pale blush, with thin white lines tracing the veins. The arrangement climbs diagonally, leaving the lower right and top corners as dark open ground.

CA#1175 is an original colorful floral painting showing pink, white and purple tropical blooms with green and yellow leaves on a dark navy ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

On a deep teal, bottle green or charcoal wall the dark ground merges with the paint and the blooms appear suspended; on white it becomes a crisp dark rectangle, which suits a gallery or boutique setting. In a dining room or restaurant, hang it at seated eye height so the large lower bloom sits level with diners across the table. A warm, narrow-beam spotlight brings out the curved strokes in the petals.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, gallery & retail and dining room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#1175 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#1175 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How do the knife-laid petals of CA#1175 look in side light?

Every petal shows a smooth face with a slight ridge along the edge the knife left behind. Lit from one side, those edges catch the light and the flowers look sculpted; lit flat from the front, the canvas reads as smooth, intense colour with the texture mostly hidden.

What does the near-black ground do for the colours of CA#1175?

The near-black slate ground is what makes the pinks, coral and mustard look so saturated, since light colours on a dark field read brighter than the same colours on white. It also hides the edges of the arrangement, so the flowers appear to come out of shadow, much as in an old Dutch still life.

Is CA#1175 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#1175 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#1175 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
