About this painting

Five open peonies in candy pink, cream and butter yellow float in a single band across a deep cobalt ground, strung along a vine of lime and emerald leaves. The two largest, both hot pink with gold centres, sit either side of the middle, with a smaller yellow bloom between them, a cream-and-pink one at the left and a peach flower cropped by the right edge.

Tight red and pink buds mark the ends of the vine. Each petal is a separate loaded stroke with a curled rim, and the blue behind is worked in short choppy knife marks with paler streaks.

CA#946 is an original colorful floral painting showing pink and yellow peonies with green leaves on a blue ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The flowers run as one horizontal line through the middle of a long canvas, which suits a dining room wall above a sideboard, the back wall of a restaurant's private room, or the lounge seating in a lobby. Cobalt sits well against white lacquer, dove-grey limestone and polished nickel, and blush or rose upholstery picks up the petals. A linear picture light across the top edge covers the full width and lights every raised rim evenly.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, dining room and living room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#946 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#946 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are the flowers in CA#946 peonies or roses?

Peonies: the loose, many-layered cups and dense gold stamens at the centre are peony features, though the small tight buds at the ends of the vine look rose-like. The flowers are treated decoratively rather than botanically, and the leaves are simplified into bright single strokes.

How far do the petals of CA#946 stand off the blue ground?

The petals are the thickest part of the painting: each lifted rim casts a small shadow under a top light, so the blooms appear to hover above the blue. The leaves are flatter, and the cobalt ground carries only shallow knife marks.

Is CA#946 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#946 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#946 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
