About this painting

A small child in a rust-red top rides on the back of a white crane as it climbs through a navy night sky, with a small flock flying alongside toward a pale yellow moon. Every bird points the same way, up and to the right, necks stretched and legs trailing like long stalks, and one smaller crane tucks in beneath the largest.

The cranes are cream rather than pure white, each with a red crown, painted as flat shapes with soft, slightly brushy edges. The sky is not one flat navy: darker cloud swirls ripple through the lower half, like wind beneath the wings.

MA#233 is an original minimalist animal painting showing child riding a flock of white cranes past a full moon on a dark night sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

On a dark wall the navy ground almost disappears and the cranes seem to fly straight out of the room, so try it against charcoal, ink blue or bottle green. In a bedroom or family suite it hangs well above a bed or a reading chair; in a gallery shop it pairs with pale ceramics and paper lanterns. A narrow beam aimed at the moon gives the night scene its own glow.

Specified for gallery & retail, guest room & suite, living room and bedroom; it reads as peaceful and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#233 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#233 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the cranes in MA#233 symbolise?

In East Asian art the red-crowned crane is often read as a sign of longevity and good fortune, and figures riding cranes turn up in old folk tales and scroll paintings. Here the child turns that motif into a gentle bedtime image: a ride across the sky by moonlight.

Is MA#233 suitable for a child's bedroom?

Yes, the subject is gentle and the child gives younger viewers someone to follow. The dark navy ground is the thing to plan around: pair it with light bedding and a warm lamp so the room does not feel heavy, and hang it where the moon sits a little above a child's eye level.

Is MA#233 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#233 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#233 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
