About this painting

A yellow column scattered with black asterisks runs down the middle of the canvas, hemmed in by thick slabs of red, green, navy, grey and purple, each carrying its own scratched-in doodle.

Green blocks are spotted with white loops, navy and pink ones with white zigzags, grey ones with black squared spirals. Odd single shapes sit between them: a white pebble, a blue teardrop, a caramel drip, a black blot at the base. The slabs are laid thick enough to keep a fine ribbed grain from the tool, and the marks are scored into wet paint, so the surface feels like a wall covered in street scribbles.

XA#1019 is an original maximalist geometric painting showing dense patchwork of vivid colour blocks with scribbled zigzags, stars and spirals, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Plain surroundings let it do its job: a white or charcoal wall, a grey sofa, a concrete floor. Each colour in it can be lifted out for one accent, a mustard cushion, a green chair, a red lamp, without the scheme looking forced. In a shop or showroom it works on the back wall seen from the door; in a creative studio it gives a team something lively to look at. At the larger vertical sizes, give it open wall on both sides.

Specified for gallery & retail, workspace & office, corridor & circulation and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

Colour palette

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for XA#1019 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on XA#1019 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the stars, zigzags and spirals in XA#1019 stand for?

Read them as pattern rather than symbol. Each colour block gets its own doodle, repeated inside it, much like a child's drawing or street graffiti. That repetition within blocks and variety between them is what holds a very busy surface together and keeps it from turning into noise.

What should hang next to XA#1019 on a shared wall?

Something quiet: a single-colour canvas in one of its shades, such as flat mustard or deep green, or black-and-white line drawings that echo its doodles. Two busy pieces side by side cancel each other out, so let this one carry the colour and keep its neighbours restrained.

Is XA#1019 a print or an original painting?

An original. XA#1019 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of XA#1019 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
