About this painting

Banana leaves in gold, bronze and tobacco brown fan up across a black canvas from its lower edge, overlapping and splitting, with the dark ground showing in the gaps between them. The palest, almost cream-gold leaves gather in the centre and upper left; toward the lower corners they darken to brown and bronze, like older leaves curling in shadow.

Each leaf is built from parallel bands that follow its side veins, painted with a soft sheen, and its midrib and edges are traced by a line of tiny pale dots like stitching. One leaf at the upper right carries the torn hole of a real banana leaf.

HA#918 is an original hyperrealist floral painting showing gold metallic banana leaves on a black ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Black is the anchor, so it belongs on a dark or mid-toned wall: charcoal panelling, smoked oak slats or deep bronze plaster. In a bar or restaurant, hang it where a downlight can hit it directly, behind the host stand or where a run of banquettes finishes; in a lobby it fills a tall pier between two windows or doors. Keep the surrounding colours warm and deep, since pastel walls make the gold look merely yellow.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation and entryway & hallway; it reads as dramatic and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#918 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#918 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Do the leaves of HA#918 look gold in every light?

Not equally. Under a warm downlight the pale leaves glow gold and the darker ones turn bronze; in cool daylight the canvas shifts toward olive and brown and the black ground looks greyer. A warm white source keeps it at its richest, which is why it suits evening venues so well.

Would HA#918 suit a tropical-themed interior?

Yes, though it is more evening than beach. The gold-on-black palette suits a lounge bar, a dark-toned resort restaurant or a club room better than bright rattan and turquoise. Pair it with real palms, dark green leather and smoked glass, and keep seashells and pastels for other rooms.

Is HA#918 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#918 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#918 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
