Gold sunburst rays on black canvas painting

Two bursts of gold rays break out of the black: a large fan entering from the left side below the middle, a smaller one clipped by the right edge near the top. Every ray is a single drawn line, crossing its neighbours and thinning toward the tip like the spines of a sea urchin or a dried palm frond.

Between them a beaded gold seam swings down the canvas in an S-curve, separating a deep black area streaked like charred timber from a softer charcoal brushed in horizontal strokes. The design rests on contrast: dark matt ground, bright hairline drawing, and one glinting curve holding the halves apart.
