About this painting

Half a sunflower fills the canvas from its left edge, the dark seed head sliced by the frame and gold petals fanning out across a near-black ground. Water droplets bead along the petals, each with a bright highlight and a darker rim so it seems to sit on the surface, largest on the lit petals at right.

Light falls from the upper right: the top petals are clear yellow, the lower ones sink into amber and bronze, and the seed head shows a ring of tiny ochre florets inside a darker band. The background is a mottled brown-black, like stone, which keeps the dark from looking dead.

HA#721 is an original hyperrealist floral painting showing close-up sunflower with water droplets on a dark ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With half the flower cropped, the canvas has a direction: the petals open toward the right, so place it toward the left of a wall where the flower faces into the space, such as to the left of a bar back or at the start of a run of dining tables. Smoked oak, black marble and amber glass suit it, and a narrow beam aimed at the droplets makes them look freshly wet.

Specified for restaurant & bar, dining room, lobby & reception and living room; it reads as cozy & warm and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#721 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#721 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is only half the sunflower shown in HA#721?

Cropping at the centre turns a familiar flower into something closer to a burst of rays and brings the viewer near enough to see each water drop. The dark seed head anchors the left edge while the petals open out to the right, and sunflowers are often read as warmth and loyalty.

How lifelike are the water droplets in HA#721?

Close to photographic at normal viewing distance. Each drop is built from a dark edge, a body that picks up the petal colour beneath and a sharp white highlight, so it seems to stand off the surface. Up close the brushwork shows, as it does in any hand-painted canvas.

Is HA#721 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#721 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#721 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
