A single feather stands tall in the middle of a misty grey canvas, its barbs drawn in hundreds of fine lines of teal, peacock blue and turquoise, with gold running down the shaft and flaring across the upper right edge.

The feather tilts slightly, its quill curving away to the lower left, and the barbs separate into loose strands near the base as real feathers do. Gold flecks are scattered over the pale ground around it, sparse near the margins and densest beside the tip. The surface is flat; the detail comes from linework, not texture.
