About this painting

Coral-red poppies open across the top of the canvas, their violet-black centres the only crisp marks in a bouquet that dissolves as it falls. Below them, sparks of lemon yellow and a few dark violet buds give way to a pale grey-blue blur where the stems should be, so the flowers seem to hover.

The paint is thick and dragged, with petals built in short, overlapping ridges that soften the edge of every bloom. Nothing is outlined; the shapes are held together by colour alone.

CA#118 is an original colorful floral painting showing soft-focus bouquet of red and orange poppies with yellow and blue-grey blur, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its strongest colour is packed into the top third, so set the canvas slightly below the usual height and let the poppies land at eye level instead of overhead. In a narrow entrance it suits the wall above a slim console; in a guest room, the strip of wall between wardrobe and window. Dusty blue, warm white and coral textiles pick up its colours, and the pale base settles easily over light oak furniture.

Specified for guest room & suite, restaurant & bar, bedroom and entryway & hallway; it reads as uplifting and romantic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#118 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#118 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What gives the poppies in CA#118 their soft-focus look?

The edges are never closed. Each petal is laid in thick, dragged strokes that run into the next colour, and the dark centres are the only sharp marks. The eye fills in the flower shapes, so the bouquet looks as if seen slightly out of focus.

Does the coral in CA#118 lean pink or orange on a wall?

Somewhere between the two. Next to the peach and yellow patches the poppies read orange-red, but against cool grey-blue walls they shift toward coral pink. If a room already has a strong red, compare a swatch first; the painting sits best beside softer, dusty tones.

Is CA#118 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#118 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#118 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
