About this painting

Around twenty scarlet poppies hover over a column of warm ochre-gold, their open heads clustered high on the canvas while a forest of thin dark stems drops toward the bottom edge.

Between and below the blooms, closed pods in bronze and brown nod on curved stems, some upright, some bowed. The gold band runs down just left of centre, flanked by a mottled grey that is pale and silvery at the top and darkens to charcoal at the base, flecked with olive and dark spatter. The petals are thick, knife-laid paint, so each flower sits raised above the smoother ground.

CA#745 is an original colorful floral painting showing red poppies and buds over a gold band and grey ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Under the warm, dimmed lighting of an evening restaurant or bar, the scarlet petals and ochre band glow while the grey flanks recede. Those flanks tie into charcoal plaster, concrete, black steel and smoked oak, and the gold column warms them. Hung where a corridor terminates, the band lines up with the walking axis and pulls people forward. Keep the cluster of blooms near eye level and let the stems run down toward a bench or low console.

Specified for corridor & circulation, lobby & reception, restaurant & bar and living room; it reads as bold and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#745 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#745 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the round brown shapes on the stems in CA#745?

They are poppy seed pods and unopened buds, painted in bronze and brown with a small highlight on each. Mixed among the open flowers, they show the plant at several stages at once and give the lower half of the canvas a rhythm of small dark accents.

Will guests read the poppies in CA#745 as a remembrance symbol?

Some may: red poppies are widely read as a symbol of remembrance in Britain and the Commonwealth, though here they are painted as a summer bouquet rather than a memorial. For hospitality clients in those markets the association is worth knowing; elsewhere they are mostly seen simply as a warm meadow flower.

Is CA#745 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#745 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#745 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
