About this painting

Hundreds of small scarlet blossoms crowd the top of a tall canvas and taper, like an upturned cone, into a bundle of thin dark stems, while white petals drift away down the lower half.

Each blossom is four or five red knife presses around a dark centre, with olive-bronze leaves slipped between. The ground glows pale gold behind the stems and darkens to rust and oxblood at both sides, where the paint has a mottled, sponged grain, and fine vertical drips fall from the stems. The weight is deliberately high: nearly all the colour sits in the upper two-thirds, with bare gold below.

CA#823 is an original colorful floral painting showing mass of small red blossoms with falling white petals on a gold-brown textured ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Red and gold come alive under warm, low restaurant lighting and against deep walls, chocolate, oxblood, dark olive or black lacquer. Hung where a corridor terminates, or opposite the doorway into a dining room, the tall cone of red is legible from far back. In a guest room keep other strong reds away from it so the scarlet stays the single hot colour, and let wood tones and brass carry the rest.

Specified for restaurant & bar, dining room, entryway & hallway and guest room & suite; it reads as cozy & warm and dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#823 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#823 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How are the blossoms in CA#823 built up?

With short knife presses. Each flower is a ring of scarlet dabs set around a dark centre, so the paint stands slightly proud and the petal edges catch light. Bronze and olive leaves are tucked between them in thin strokes, and the white falling petals are laid last, on top.

Do the red blossoms on gold in CA#823 carry a meaning?

A common reading of red blossoms on a gold ground is good luck, warmth and celebration, which is one reason the pairing is popular in restaurants and at festive times of year. The shedding petals also suggest a bunch at full bloom, just starting to let go.

Is CA#823 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#823 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#823 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
