About this painting

One enormous rose fills the square, its crimson heart coiled tight in the upper half while pale pink and cream outer petals unfurl almost to the edges.

The petals are cut with the knife in thick, overlapping plates, white catching along every rim, and a single magenta petal sweeps out toward the lower left. Beneath the flower the paint breaks into a jumble of dark red, violet, teal, lime and yellow strokes where a stem would be, and the background is a pale pink-grey spattered with flecks of yellow, magenta and teal. At this scale the rose becomes almost abstract.

CA#066 is an original colorful floral painting showing close-up of a single large pink and red rose in knife strokes over a multicoloured abstract ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The close crop makes the bloom far larger than life, so the bigger sizes need viewing distance: a restaurant back wall seen from the entrance, a boutique fitting area, or the far wall of a deep living room. Tan leather, walnut and brass pull out the crimson, while white panelling and black accents make the pinks look cleaner. A square canvas also sits well inside a moulded wall panel, centred with even margins all round.

Specified for restaurant & bar, gallery & retail, dining room and living room; it reads as romantic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#066 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#066 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the flower in CA#066 a rose or a peony?

It is painted as a rose: the tight spiral of crimson at the centre is the giveaway. The loose, ruffled outer petals lend it some of the fullness of a peony or old garden rose, which suits schemes that lean romantic rather than formal.

What does the surface of CA#066 do under a lamp from one side?

Side light turns the overlapping petal plates into a carved surface: each casts a thin shadow opposite the lamp and its white rim brightens. The background flecks are smaller and catch less. For a softer effect, light the canvas from directly above.

Is CA#066 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#066 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#066 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
