About this painting

A long-haired ginger cat sits upright on a weathered fence post, head turned over its shoulder toward a wall of pale teal logs, yellow-green eyes wide and whiskers fanned. Most of the paint is in the fur: loose, loaded strokes of orange, cream, lemon and coral follow the way the coat grows, heaviest across the white ruff and the plumed tail curling down the right edge.

Behind the cat the background splits into a streaked orange wall and the rounded teal logs, while grey planks, a patch of chain-link wire and small green leaves fill the lower corner.

CA#201 is an original colorful animal painting showing fluffy ginger cat sitting on a fence post against orange and teal, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Thick, directional brushwork rewards a close look, so place it where people pause rather than stride past: above a console just inside the front door, or across from the headboard in a guest suite. The orange and teal split works with natural wood, olive or sage paint and brass lamps. A wall washer set at a low angle will pick out the raised fur strokes; under flat overhead light the fur looks calmer and less tufted.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as cozy & warm and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#201 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#201 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How raised is the paint on the cat's fur in CA#201?

Moderately. The strokes in the ruff, chest and tail are laid thickly enough to catch light along their edges, while the background walls are thinner and streakier. It is textured brushwork rather than sculpted relief, so it reads as lively, tufted fur instead of a three-dimensional surface.

Is the ginger cat in CA#201 a particular breed?

No breed is claimed. It is painted as a long-haired ginger and white cat with a heavy ruff and a plumed tail, the type people often compare to a Maine Coon, but the painter worked for the impression of fur and sunlight rather than pedigree markings.

Is CA#201 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#201 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#201 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
