About this painting

A line of women in long cream dresses surges to the right with arms flung up, reaching toward a small figure in black who bounds toward them with hands spread wide. The row runs off the left edge, so it seems longer than the four or five women actually shown.

Faces are left as blank ovals, and black hair, black shoes and dark bands at the waist and sleeve repeat down the line like a beat. The dresses are hatched in quick, scratchy cream strokes over a warm brown ground that is scumbled and swirled, so the scene feels like movement caught in a sketch, in flat, matte paint.

WA#573 is an original wabi-sabi figurative painting showing naive row of women in white dresses reaching for a child on brown, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The procession moves from left to right, so place the canvas where that movement points into the room: on a wall to the left of a dining table, or at the start of a restaurant's route toward the bar. Its earthy palette sits well with chocolate leather, walnut, rattan and low amber lamplight. In a gallery or boutique it gives a quiet wall some life without adding bright colour.

Specified for restaurant & bar, gallery & retail, living room and dining room; it reads as cozy & warm and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#573 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#573 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Who is the small figure in black in WA#573?

The painting leaves that open. The figure is child-sized, dressed in black and flinging its arms wide, and the women reach toward it as if greeting someone long awaited. It can be read as a homecoming, a game or a dance, and the blank faces keep every reading possible.

How are the white dresses in WA#573 painted?

With fast, scratchy hatching in cream and off-white, laid over a slightly darker base so the brown shows through in places. The strokes follow the swing of the skirts, which is a large part of why the women seem to be moving rather than standing still.

Is WA#573 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#573 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#573 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
