About this painting

Two square canvases each hold a cloud of black and olive that spreads across a stained, warm beige ground like smoke moving through water. On the left, a narrow column falls from the top edge and opens into a heavy mass in the lower half, with grey speckles floating in the light area above it. On the right the cloud is wider and lower, covering most of the panel and trailing off in horizontal bars at the right edge beneath a pale band.

The paint is thin and washed, with soft, bleeding edges and darker tide lines where one layer dried against the next.

WA#076 is an original wabi-sabi painting showing smoky black and olive ink clouds on a stained beige ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 20×20 in to 72×72 in. Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

As a pair, the two squares cover a long wall without one oversized canvas: a restaurant banquette, the wall behind a bar, a gallery or shop display wall, or a living room above a low sofa. Keep the gap between them narrow, around 5 to 8 cm, so they read as one dark horizon. Dim, warm lighting suits them and can make the olive look bronze. Smoked oak, cognac leather, aged brass and limewashed walls complete the scheme.

Specified for corridor & circulation, restaurant & bar, gallery & retail and living room; it reads as moody and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#076 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×20 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#076 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Can the two panels of WA#076 be hung apart?

Yes. Each canvas holds its own complete cloud, so either works alone: the left one falls vertically and the right one spreads sideways. Hung apart, on facing walls, either side of a doorway or along a corridor, they stay linked by the same olive-black and beige.

Is WA#076 painted in ink?

No, it is acrylic, thinned to flow like ink. Dark washes were left to bleed and feather into the beige, leaving harder tide lines where they dried, so the surface has the soft look of ink on paper while remaining a flat painted canvas.

Is WA#076 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#076 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#076 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
