About this painting

Thick slabs of white and cream stack into uneven columns down the canvas, split by a rust-orange channel and crossed by dark brown gashes at four or five heights. The slabs are laid with a knife in short horizontal pulls, so each block has ridged edges and a slightly sheared face.

Rust runs down the centre-left in a broad band and bleeds into drips, while olive and khaki grey show at both outer edges. Nothing lines up exactly, and that slight misalignment is what makes it feel worn and built up over time rather than drawn as a grid.

TA#483 is an original textured geometric painting showing vertical white plaster strips with rust and olive bands, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Rust, olive and chalk white are earthy colours that suit raw materials: exposed brick, reclaimed timber, terracotta tile, blackened steel. In a restaurant it works behind a banquette or facing the bar stools, where diners see the knife edges up close; in an entry it gives a narrow wall warmth without florals. Warm lighting around 2700K brings out the rust, while cooler light pushes the olive forward.

Specified for restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as cozy & warm and moody.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#483 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#483 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the dark lines across TA#483?

Narrow channels of deep brown between the white slabs, sitting lower than the paint around them. They act like mortar joints or cracks, breaking the tall columns into blocks and giving the eye horizontal stops on its way down the canvas.

Is the rust in TA#483 fixed, or can the band be recoloured?

It can be recoloured. The rust-orange column and the olive edges can be swapped, for example for indigo and slate or a deeper terracotta, while the white knife-laid slabs and dark brown seams stay as they are. A swatch from the scheme helps the painter match it.

Is TA#483 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#483 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#483 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
