About this painting

One pale pink poppy fills the middle of the canvas, seen from the side, with its papery petals cupped around a heart spattered in black.

Two thin black stems drop from the underside of the bloom to the bottom edge, and a fine spray of dark flecks spills from the centre across the left-hand petals. The pink is dragged on with a dry, loaded brush, and the petal rims are picked out in thicker white that stands slightly proud of the surface. Around it the grey-white ground is brushed in soft, cloudy passes, so nearly half the picture is open space.

TA#578 is an original textured floral painting showing single pale pink anemone with black centre on grey plaster ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Against dark timber slats or charcoal paint the grey ground turns luminous and the poppy appears to hover; against plain white the whole picture softens and the black centre does most of the work. Blush velvet, honed marble and blackened steel each repeat something already on the canvas. Choose a neutral-white lamp over a very warm one, since amber light pushes the powder pink toward peach and muddies the grey.

Specified for restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation, dining room and entryway & hallway; it reads as calming and romantic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#578 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#578 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the flower in TA#578 a poppy or an anemone?

It reads as a poppy: thin, crumpled petals, a dark speckled heart and bare, leafless stems are all poppy traits. Pale anemones also have black centres, so some people see one, but the loose papery petals and the way the bloom tips sideways point to a poppy.

Why are the stems of TA#578 black rather than green?

Black stems tie the flower to its dark centre, so the whole picture runs on three tones: pink, grey and black. Green would bring in a fourth colour and pull the work toward a botanical study; keeping the stems black keeps the mood spare and graphic.

Is TA#578 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#578 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#578 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
