About this painting

Streaks of gold run down a weathered field of lilac grey and dusky blush, gathering in a bright cluster at the upper right and thinning into a line of tiny gold dots through the centre. Chalky white patches break through lower down in long vertical drifts, as if old paint had flaked away to show a pale layer underneath.

The surface is built up thick and gritty across the whole canvas, closer to rough plaster than smooth paint, and the gold sits on the high points of that texture. Nothing has a hard edge; the colours fade into each other like an old limewashed wall.

WA#460 is an original wabi-sabi painting showing weathered blush pink and grey field with gold leaf patches and white flecks, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Over a bed, it brings a soft shimmer to a quiet room without introducing strong colour, and in a spa reception the mauve and blush suit dimmed, warm lighting. The white flecks and gritty surface are best seen at arm's length, so place it where people pass close by: beside a lift, opposite a guest-room door or along the approach to a treatment room.

Specified for guest room & suite, spa & wellness, lobby & reception and bedroom; it reads as calming and romantic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#460 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#460 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How is the gold spread across the surface of WA#460?

Mostly in the upper half: a loose, foliage-like cluster at the top right and a narrow streak down the centre-left that continues to the bottom edge. Between them a column of small gold dots runs down the middle, so the shine looks like light falling through the field.

Does WA#460 look pink or purple once it is on the wall?

Both, depending on light. The field mixes lilac grey with dusky blush, so under warm evening lamps it leans pink and under north light or cool LEDs it leans lavender grey. Check it against the wall colour at the time of day the room is used most.

Is WA#460 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#460 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#460 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
