A cherry branch reaches in from the right edge and breaks into a crowd of hot pink blossoms, each sculpted so thickly that its petals curl up off the canvas. Gold stamens sit at every centre, and wherever flowers overlap the shaded petals deepen to crimson.

Behind them, blue-grey mountain ridges fade into a peach and cream sky, painted thin and smooth so the raised blooms stand forward. The flowers pack the left two-thirds; toward the right the branch thins to bare twig and a few tight red buds, leaving the misty peaks room to show.
