About this painting

A thicket seen from inside: crimson berries scatter across the middle on hair-thin stems, pale rose blossoms crowd the two upper corners, and broad emerald leaves push up from the bottom.

Between them a misty shaft of pale green light opens at the top centre, as if the undergrowth had parted onto a clearing, while a pocket of near-black shadow sits low on the left. Blossoms and leaves are built up in heavy knife paint that stands proud of the canvas; the grasses are drawn in quick, thin strokes, and the lime green in the lower corners is spattered with dark flecks.

TA#424 is an original textured floral painting showing dense garden of green foliage with pink and white blossoms, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Dark surroundings suit it best. Against charcoal slatted panelling, smoked oak or a deep green plaster wall, the pale blossoms and the shaft of light come forward while the shadowy pocket merges with the room. In a restaurant, place it where diners on a banquette face it; in a lobby, beside real planting so the painted greens and living ones meet. Low warm light deepens the emerald, whereas cool LEDs can make the lime look acid.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, living room and dining room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#424 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#424 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the red dots scattered through TA#424?

Berries or small buds rather than petals: tight crimson dabs set on thin pale stems through the middle band of the canvas. They are the warmest note in the painting and carry the gaze across from left to right, between the pale blossoms above and the leaves below.

Does TA#424 read as a light or a dark painting on a wall?

Dark, overall. The lower half and the left side carry deep green and near-black, and only the top corners and the central shaft of light are pale, so on a white wall it reads as a dense block lit from the top. On a dark wall its edges melt away and the blossoms seem to float.

Is TA#424 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#424 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#424 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
