About this painting

Roses in shell pink, butter yellow and ivory are swirled into the paint as thick spirals, then buried in a field of hundreds of small raised dabs in mint, emerald, cobalt, violet and tangerine. No part of the canvas is left plain.

A dark cobalt thread winds through the left and centre between the blooms, the deepest colour on the surface, while the upper right breaks into a bright patch of yellow and orange. The biggest bloom, just right of the middle, is pale enough to read almost white. Every dab stands up like a small pebble of paint, so the surface changes with each viewing angle.

TA#073 is an original textured floral painting showing pastel pink, white and yellow roses built from very thick paint dabs on a dense green and blue dab field, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With colour spread evenly from edge to edge, it behaves almost like a textile panel, so give it plain neighbours: solid bouclé or velvet, unpatterned rugs, a single wall colour. Along a dining banquette or behind lobby seating, guests close by see individual dabs and swirls, while people at the far end of the room see a soft mosaic. Even overhead light suits it better than one spot, which would leave half the surface dull.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as uplifting and romantic.

Colour palette

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#073 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#073 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why are the roses in TA#073 hard to pick out at first?

They are made from the same dabs as the background, just arranged in spirals and kept paler. At a distance the swirls resolve into roses; close up they dissolve back into separate strokes. The effect is closer to a mosaic, or a garden seen through rain, than to a botanical study.

What does the dark blue line in TA#073 do?

The winding cobalt line is the only dark colour on the canvas. Without it the pastels would blur into one sugary mass; with it the eye has a path through the left half and the pale roses look lighter by contrast. A navy cushion or ink-blue chair nearby repeats it neatly.

Is TA#073 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#073 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#073 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
