About this painting

Broad knife-laid blocks of blush pink, shell pink and white overlap down the canvas like torn sheets of paper, each ending in a raised lip of paint. A rust terracotta wedge anchors the lower left corner, a small lilac patch sits top centre, and warm grey runs down the right edge.

The upper right is the most worked area, where the knife has left parallel arcs across a salmon-pink field. The central white block is calmer, with short drips and ridges trailing down it, so the picture settles from busy pink at the top through quiet white to the dark corner.

TA#085 is an original textured geometric painting showing thick plaster knife blocks in blush pink, white, grey and terracotta, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The terracotta corner is the colour to build around: it picks up clay pots, cognac leather or a rust throw, while the blush tones suit plaster walls in warm white or the palest pink. In a spa treatment room, hang it across from the couch rather than above it, where a client lying down can see it. Warm lamps turn the pinks peachier; soft daylight keeps them cool and powdery, as they appear in the photographs.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, bedroom and spa & wellness; it reads as calming and romantic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#085 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#085 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why does TA#085 have one dark block at the bottom?

Without it the canvas would be all pale pink and white and could look washed out on a light wall. The rust terracotta wedge gives the composition a heavy corner to rest on, and it is the one colour that ties the painting to wood, leather or clay in the room.

What does the knife texture on TA#085 look like under a picture light?

Light from above catches the lip at the end of every knife stroke, so each block gets a thin bright edge with a soft shadow below it. The paint is thick but smooth rather than sculpted, which keeps the effect gentle: crisp lines, not deep ridges.

Is TA#085 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#085 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#085 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
