About this painting

Hundreds of raised plaster strands radiate from a point just right of centre, like the gills of a mushroom seen from below or a bundle of split reeds fanned open.

The sectors alternate in tone: warm taupe and tan in two opposite quarters, top left and bottom right, with cool white and pale grey in the other two, so the burst seems to turn slowly like a pinwheel. Each strand is a thick ridge pulled outward from the centre, with fine white highlights along the crests and darker grooves between. The strands bend as they travel, so the burst never looks ruled.

TA#763 is an original textured geometric painting showing radiating beige, brown and white ridged plaster burst, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Hang it so the centre of the burst sits around standing eye level; the lines then spread evenly above and below the viewer. Because the strands run in every direction, light from any angle catches some of them, which makes it forgiving in a lobby lit by a mix of downlights and daylight. Travertine, honed limestone and warm grey marble share its taupe range, as does the timber slat cladding common in spa reception areas.

Specified for corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway, lobby & reception and spa & wellness; it reads as calming and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#763 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#763 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How do the warm and cool sectors of TA#763 behave in a room?

They let the canvas sit between two schemes. The tan and taupe sectors pick up walnut, leather and warm stone, while the white and pale grey sectors relate to cool plaster walls and white oak, so it can bridge a room that mixes both without looking out of place on either side.

Is the burst in TA#763 meant to be a flower?

No particular object is painted. The radiating strands can suggest a flower opening, the underside of a mushroom, a sunburst or gathered fabric, and the curving lines leave that open. Read as an abstract, it is a study of movement outward from one point.

Is TA#763 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#763 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#763 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
