About this painting

Two wide violet poppies dominate a pale grey canvas, one opening at the upper left and the other pushing in from the lower right edge, both with knotted yellow-gold centres.

They are sculpted in raised paste, each petal a separate fold with lighter lilac along its rim. A rounder purple bloom hangs at the top right on a thread-thin stem, a pale pink flower floats at the top, and small magenta and pink buds crowd the lower left among bright green leaves and dabs of lime. Even the ground is crazed with fine raised cracks, like dried clay.

TA#826 is an original textured floral painting showing sculpted purple poppies and pink buds on a grey plaster ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Violet and soft grey lean cool, so it is happiest on pale grey, lilac or warm white walls, with whitewashed oak, light stone and brushed nickel around it. Over a dressing table or a guest-suite writing desk, it is close enough for the crazed ground to be studied. Sage or lime cushions, or a single green plant, pick up the leaves at the bottom; very dark wood makes the violet look heavier.

Specified for corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway, guest room & suite and bedroom; it reads as romantic and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#826 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#826 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What gives the background of TA#826 its cracked look?

The pale grey ground is built up in a thick layer and broken into fine raised ridges and fissures, so it resembles dried clay or old plaster. That keeps the space around the poppies from looking empty and gives the whole surface an even, tactile quality.

How do the purple and pink of TA#826 sit with green in a room?

Well, because the painting already contains green: the leaf and lime tones at the bottom left act as a bridge. Sage or olive upholstery repeats them and makes the violet look richer by contrast; emerald or bottle green is stronger and best kept to a cushion or a lamp base.

Is TA#826 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#826 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#826 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
