About this painting

A clump of violet irises stands upright from the bottom edge, its stems and sword leaves rising into a cluster of deep purple blooms in the upper half of the canvas.

The ground does as much work as the flowers. It is built in thick white impasto, washed with lilac at the top right and lower left, and streaked with thin drips that run down behind the stems. A smear of pale violet drifts off to the right of the blooms like a blurred petal, and one iris is cut by the left edge. Rust-brown sheaths at the base of the stems warm the cool palette.

TA#390 is an original textured floral painting showing purple irises against a heavily textured white and lilac ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With the blooms gathered in the upper half, set it slightly below the usual height so the flowers meet the eye and the stems start just above the furniture. Its upright pull suits the slim pier between two windows, or a headboard alcove in a suite. Lilac shifts with the light: cool daylight keeps it clean, very warm bulbs push it toward pink, and a 3000K lamp is a fair middle.

Specified for guest room & suite, living room, bedroom and spa & wellness; it reads as calming and romantic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#390 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#390 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the vertical streaks behind the irises in TA#390?

They are runs of thinned paint that dripped down over the white impasto. They echo the upright stems and give the pale ground a weathered, rain-on-glass quality, which stops the flowers from looking like a botanical illustration.

Do the irises in TA#390 carry any meaning?

Irises are traditionally linked with hope and good news, after Iris, the messenger of the Greek gods who travelled on the rainbow. The painting wears that lightly: it is mostly about deep purple set against white and lilac.

Is TA#390 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#390 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#390 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
